About brand

The story of Batistrada began with the dream of a boy who loved to draw. From an early age, he saw the world through color, form, and line. His drawings came to life on paper — and later, in reality. After graduating from art school, he faced a choice: to become a photographer, capturing the beauty of a moment, or a shoemaker, giving beauty a tangible shape. He chose the latter.

Thus began his journey at one of Moldova’s largest footwear factories. Years of hard work, hundreds of pairs, thousands of details, and an endless pursuit of perfection turned his craft into true art.

Over time, he realized he was ready to go further. He dreamed of creating not just shoes, but pieces with a soul — each pair like a small work of art. Yet before making his own name known, he spent years crafting for other brands, refining his skills and perfecting every stitch.

Finally, in 2014, he took the step toward his dream. And on Armenească Street, a small shop was born — Batistrada.

Since then, Batistrada has stayed true to its principles:
high quality, handmade craftsmanship, and genuine leather.
Each pair of shoes is created with love, attention to detail, and deep respect for the woman who will wear them.
